From bespoke tailoring to industrial undertaking
In 1954 the master tailor Johann Hinrichs founded the company Hinrichs
in Mittegroßefehn. At that time he started with bespoke tailoring of
men’s fashion for a small clientele in rented rooms.

Company development and production enlargement
Development at Großefehn as location for business. Hinrichs trousers became rapidly a bestseller and the production ofmen’s vests was discontinued. In 1970 the daily production was already
at 200 trousers.

Further production locations
Overtaking of VEB clothing company Güstrow in Schwerin As one of the first investors, Hinrichs Bekleidungswerk GmbH took over a production plant in East Germany in 1990. At first as well the buildings
as the machinery had to be updated with considerable capital expenditures.

Image and collection
Relaunch of company’s image. As part of a realignment of the contemporary appearance and the revision of parts of the collections the current company logo was established in 1991 and 1992. The redesign of the logo simultaneously marks a turning point in the strategic thinking and acting.

Production in Slovakia
Commissioning of the newly built branch factory in Lubotice/Presov. 1993, after long preliminary talks and plans, the construction of Hinrichs branch in Lubotice could start. Since the 1st June 1994, the
company Hinrichs s.r.o. produces in the new plant with modern machines quality trousers by Hinrichs.

50 years Hinrichs Bekleidungswerk
With a production capacity of 2.300 trousers per day the Hinrichs group of companies achieves
a total production of more than half a million trousers per year. The export ratio is around 40%. 42 employees are employed at its headquarters in Großefehn and further 234 employees are working in the Hinrichs manufacturing plant in Slovakia.

C.O.C brand relaunch and ecology
Nearly 10 years after the introduction of the brand „Club of Comfort“,
the logo, whose shape, color and font style is borrowed from the Brit
style, is adapted to the taste patterns, which change in the course of time.
